Strangekind Studio is a not-for-profit creative collective. We present cinematic, full-cast audio dramas that subvert tropes and challenge genre conventions. Our aim is to spotlight characters who belong to the intersection, including characters who are queer, disabled, neurodiverse, and BIPOC. Many of us also a part of the intersection, and our diverse experiences and identities informs our practice. OUR CURRENT PROJECTS Our debut show, KIND: An LGBTQ+ Mythical Noir Audio Drama, is currently being released weekly on all podcasting platforms and YouTube. KIND is about Sujin Baek, a happily married employee of Eden Orphanage. He is also the Kind Killer, Silver City's most prolific and terrifying serial killer. When his secret is forced to the surface, the city's dark underbelly threatens the very heart and humanity of all Silverians. We also have our ongoing, long-term production of MERCY: A Queer Eldritch Western. MERCY follows Sawyer, a grizzled jack-of-all-trades, who helps the good folk of Mercy for a mere pittance. When he meets the bizarre and enigmatic Doctor Daisy Gray, they are both thrust into dangers beyond human comprehension. MERCY is a queer audio drama set during the tail end of the wild west.
